In Million Lords, leagues accompany your progression across seasons.
You will begin in Bronze before gradually progressing through:
Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond → Legend
But moving up a league isn't simply about earning a new badge.
Your opponents become more experienced, certain rules change, events adapt to your league, and the way you play must gradually evolve.
Understanding this system will help you avoid a common mistake:
trying to climb as quickly as possible without actually being ready for the next league.

1. What Are Leagues For?
Leagues group players according to their progression.
As you climb, you gradually enter a more competitive environment.
You will generally encounter:
- more experienced players;
- better-developed kingdoms;
- more optimized builds;
- better-organized clans;
- more advanced strategies.
But some game rules also change depending on your league.
Your league influences certain events, combat parameters, and even the number of skill points you receive when your Lord gains a level.

Don't think of a new league only as a reward.
It is also a new level of difficulty.
2. The Different Leagues
The main progression currently revolves around six major levels:
🟤 Bronze
This is where you discover Million Lords.
Your first weeks are primarily about understanding cities, battles, skills, production, and events.
There are several stages within Bronze progression before reaching Silver.
Use this period to experiment and learn.
⚪ Silver
You begin encountering players who already understand the fundamentals.
Target selection and your build start becoming increasingly important.
🟡 Gold
Mistakes gradually become more expensive.
Army management, XP efficiency, and your ability to identify good targets become much more important.
🔵 Platinum
Territorial strategy, builds, and cooperation with your clan become increasingly decisive.
💎 Diamond
You enter a much more competitive part of the game.
Advanced mechanics, optimization, and the ability to make good decisions quickly become essential.
👑 Legend
Legend represents the highest level of league progression.
You will encounter experienced players and clans capable of taking full advantage of the game's different mechanics.
3. Every Season Is a New Race
Million Lords revolves around seasons.
At the beginning of a new season, part of your seasonal progression is reset.
You must rebuild your kingdom, develop your Lord, and begin expanding again.
A season therefore isn't simply an endless continuation of the previous one.
It is a new race.
Your experience as a player, however, stays with you.
You understand the mechanics better.
You know which mistakes to avoid.
You understand your build.
You can identify good targets more effectively.

This is why experienced players can usually progress much more efficiently at the beginning of a new season.
4. Your Lord Level Is Not Your League
It is important to distinguish between two types of progression.
👑 Your Lord Level
Your Lord levels up during the season through experience gained by playing and fighting.
Leveling up grants rewards including skill points.
🏆 Your League
Your league represents the competitive environment you play in from one season to another.
The two systems are both connected to progression, but they don't represent the same thing.

Don't assume a high-level Lord automatically means a highly experienced player.
Lord level shows seasonal progression. Decision-making skill is another matter entirely.
5. Skill Points Change With Your League
League becomes particularly important when looking at Lord progression.
Currently:
Bronze → Platinum: 1 skill point per level
Diamond → Legend: 2 skill points per level
This means that from Diamond onward, every level allows you to develop your skill tree much faster.
Skill points earned through leveling are seasonal and reset at the beginning of each new season.

6. Some Rules Change Depending on Your League
Not every player plays under exactly the same parameters.
Some mechanics are adjusted by league to adapt difficulty and balance.
A good example is Demotivation.
When a much stronger player attacks an opponent who is too weak, the attack can become a Demo Attack.
The number of troops that can be committed is limited, movement speed is reduced, and the attack grants no XP.
The parameters of this mechanic currently vary between leagues.
This means that a strategy that works perfectly well in Bronze may not behave exactly the same way in Diamond.

7. Events Change Too
Seasonal events are part of your progression.
Recurring events currently include:
- City Conquer;
- Architect;
- Troop Production;
- Defense.
The milestones required for rewards vary depending on your league.
The order of some events can also change.
For example, the current rotation begins with City Conquer from Bronze through Platinum, while Diamond and Legend begin with Architect.

8. Moving Up Doesn't Always Mean You're Improving
Seeing a new league appear is rewarding.
But your objective shouldn't simply be:
"I want to reach the next league as quickly as possible."
Instead, ask:
"Do I understand my current league well enough to be effective in the next one?"
A player can reach a higher league while keeping bad habits.
They may suddenly face opponents who:
- choose their battles more effectively;
- preserve their troops;
- use coherent builds;
- know which cities to defend;
- cooperate effectively with their clan;
- prepare for events.
The increase in difficulty can then feel dramatic.
9. How Do You Know When You're Ready?
There is no single statistic that answers this question.
Instead, look at the way you play.
You Choose Your Battles
You no longer attack simply because a city looks conquerable.
You consider XP, losses, positioning, and risk.
Your Build Has a Purpose
You know why you invested points into particular skills.
You Preserve Your Army
You can increasingly distinguish a profitable battle from a waste of troops.
You Understand Your Territory
You know which cities matter and which ones you can afford to lose.
You Approach Events Strategically
You don't automatically spend every resource as soon as it becomes available.
You Play With Your Clan
You begin seeing nearby players as allies, threats, or strategic opportunities.

Being ready for a higher league depends less on a number and more on your ability to understand why you're making each decision.
10. Should You Deliberately Stay in a League?
It can be tempting to remain in a comfortable league where achieving strong results is easier.
However, you now need to consider the League Lock.
The system prevents players from dropping more than one league below the highest league they have reached.
For example:
Reached Platinum → you can no longer drop below Gold.
Reached Diamond → you can no longer drop below Platinum.
This system is designed in part to prevent experienced players from intentionally dropping into much lower leagues to face significantly less advanced opponents.
⚠️ Important
Reaching a new league can therefore permanently affect which lower leagues remain accessible to you.
11. Don't Just Try to Climb — Try to Learn
Your first Bronze season shouldn't have the same objective as a Diamond season.
At first, your priority is learning:
How do I progress?
How do I choose a target?
How should I build my Lord?
How do I manage my army?
How do I contribute to a clan?
Later, your questions become more focused on optimization:
How much XP can I generate with this army?
Which build fits my strategy?
How should I prepare for this event?
How can we win this war?
That evolution is what real progression looks like.

12. Common Mistakes
❌ Trying to Climb Too Quickly
A new league also brings new challenges.
